The Educational Support department is looking for a Special Education Instructional Assistant. We are looking for a one to one aide for one of our students in the RISE classroom. Experience working with students with special needs preferred but not essential. This is a Non-Thai position Part time or Full time. Please contact Pilar Prus if you are interested.

Air Pollution Season| nurse@gisthailand.org

As we enter air pollution season, we recommend your student bring 2 masks to school: one surgical/cloth mask for COVID prevention and one N95 style for poor air quality.

2021-22 Re-enrollment Physical Exams | nurse@gisthailand.org

Physical exam forms are available here. We will not be able to do any physical exams at our January vaccine clinic this year. You will receive an email reminder if your student is due for TB testing this year. Please return completed forms to Health Services by January 29th.

ELEMENTARY

Welcome and Happy New Year to our new families and also those returning to GIS after some time away! We are so happy and excited to meet you and to serve alongside you as we work together to bring quality, God-centered education to your child(ren). You should have already received class assignments for your elementary age child(ren) and an e-mail with many details. If you have any questions, whatsoever, please do not hesitate to ask the elementary office, we are here to serve you.

Reporting an absence | mkennedy@gisthailand.org

Please report an absence as soon as possible to the elementary office by sending an e-mail to us at elementaryattendance@gisthailand.org. A phone call to the office or a personal visit are also adequate ways of reporting absences. If you know your child will be absent for more than two days, please use this Planned Absence Form to report it.

Tiger Pride Dress-Up Day | mkennedy@gisthailand.org

Students are encouraged to dress up like an animal for this month’s Tiger Pride Dress-Up Day on Thursday, January 21. Please remember to keep costumes modest and if your child doesn’t want to participate, they should wear their normal Grace uniform. Looking forward to seeing how many creative animal costumes the students come up with.

Welcome back for those students who are new and some returning after a period away! We will come back to school for Semester 2 on Monday, January 11. As indicated last week, this first week of school will be online through Continuous Learning.

Attendance
- For a short period, attendance will only be taken during live sessions which are offered by Secondary Teachers. If your students are going be absent, please follow the regular reporting procedures for reporting an absence.

Mr. K and Mr. Meck will be hosting a guided prayer time on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-10:00 and then will be available until 11:00am if you would like further prayer or would like to talk.
