GENERAL
UPDATE! Tiger Shop(Uniform Shop) Opening Hours | uniformshop@gisthailand.org
As we are heading towards the end of the first quarter, the opening hours for the Tiger Shop (Uniform Shop) will only be open on these following days starting from September 19 onwards:
- Mondays: 8-9 AM & 3-4 PM
- Wednesdays: 9.15-10 AM & 3-4 PM
Ordering Photos from U Smile Kids | communications@gisthailand.org
Photo proofs of your child(ren) from U Smile Kids will be handed out with an envelope within this week. Group and family photos are also included. Please check inside the envelope for photo proofs of your child(dren)’s class photos along with the catalog.
Below are the ordering methods:
- U Smile Kids will be accepting orders at the reception area on 29-30 September 2022 (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM). Write your order on the back of the envelope (order form) and turn it in along with your payment to U Smile Kids on the days above. Payment can be made by cash/bank transfer/QR code.
- Or take a picture of the back of the envelope (order form) and order online via LINE: @usmiledee.
Payment details are listed on the back of the envelope. If you have any questions, please contact U Smile Kids directly.
ELEMENTARY
Tiger Pride Dress-Up Day | elementary.office@gisthailand.org
Elementary will be having a Tiger Pride Dress-up Day on Wednesday, September 28 to show our school spirit. The theme will be SUPERHEROES! On that day students are encouraged to dress up as a superhero. If your child chooses not to participate in the Tiger Pride theme, they should come to school in their normal Grace uniform.
After-school Clubs | elementary.office@gisthailand.org
After-school clubs for 3rd-6th grade students will begin this Thursday, September 22. We are so excited to be able to offer clubs again to our students! Club permission slips that were turned in last week will be drawn ‘lottery style’. A roster of club members will be posted in the atrium today and parents can expect an email also.
SECONDARY
Letter Jackets | secondary.office@gisthailand.org and athletics@gisthailand.org
- Working in partnership, Athletics and the Secondary Division are excited to introduce Letter Jackets for some GIS students in Grades 9-12.
- Letter Jackets are available for Varsity Athletes, Chanson students, and Jazz Band students for the 2022-23 school year!
- Students can order their jackets through Athletics or the Secondary Office. A Letter Jacket contract will be signed by students along with expectations and guidelines for earning patches in future!
Equipping Night for Grade 12 Parents | secondary.office@gisthailand.org
- Thursday, October 6 from 6:30 – 8 PM at GIS
- Your graduating senior has so many options for post-high school and a very busy year ahead of him/her. Our Academic Counselors have met with them two times so far this school year to help motivate and de-stress them about the process.
- We would like to give you the opportunity to hear what we have told them and to field your questions about post-high school options, college applications, and financial aid (with Mr. Tim Hewitt).
- There will be English and Korean sessions in separate rooms

- Thank you to the parents for showing interest in buying candygrams.
- Student Council will have a digital order form for parents to buy candygrams for their students, which will include a way to pay digitally.
- Please look for the link for this form in next week’s Roar announcement!
- Note: Student Council will only deliver candygrams on the GIS campus.

- Every year GIS administration schedules one day without Secondary classes during the first quarter to allow parents the opportunity to meet with teachers. This is not mandatory; however, if you would like to meet with your child’s teacher(s), this time is for that purpose.
