Book Character Parade| email@example.com
We will not have our regular Tiger Pride Dress Up Day in March. However, April 1, at the beginning of the day, we will have our Book Character Parade as the big finale to March is Reading Month. Students are encouraged to dress up like a book character and all classes will parade around the campus (route to be determined). At this time we aren’t sure if parents will be allowed on campus to be spectators for our parade or not, when we receive that information, you’ll be notified.
Lent Guide | firstname.lastname@example.org
We are now in the Church Calendar season of Lent. We have been encouraging our students to consider observing Lent as an opportunity to prepare their hearts to remember Christ’s death and resurrection. We have put together a six week Lent Guide if you and your students would like to follow along. You can access it HERE.

Academic Plan Meetings for Students: March | firstname.lastname@example.org
Our Academic Counselors are preparing for next school year!
Students in Grade 9 will be called in to visit with their academic counselor about post-high school goals, future academic plans, and classes that should be taken next school year to meet these goals and to ensure graduation from GIS. A proposed schedule of classes will be created and recorded on the student’s 4-year Academic Plan document in Google Classroom. It is highly recommended that students and parents refer to this Plan when choosing classes for the next school year.
Grade 8 students will have a class meeting and receive a customized handout that shows them what Grade 9 elective classes will fulfill their matriculation requirements; use this when choosing classes for the next school year.
More information about course selection, including the newly updated Academic Program Handbook, (for all Secondary students) is still to come!
