GENERAL

*New* Influenza Season | nurse@gisthailand.org

The influenza season has arrived. There have already been reported cases of students with Influenza at school. Extra precautions will be taken in cleaning classrooms and reminding students to help prevent the spread of disease by practicing good hand washing. You also can help us by keeping sick children at home.

A cold or Influenza spreads most easily during the first 48 hours. A child who has a fever should remain at home until the fever has been 100 degrees or lower for 24 hours. A child taking antibiotics should be on the medication for 24 hours before returning to school.
