The uniform shop has officially moved from the reception area to its new home at the back of the Administration building in room A181. You can access this room by following the sidewalk between the Secondary and Administration buildings.

Coffee with the DSA on Tuesday, March 3rd, from 8:30 am – 9:30 am has been rescheduled to 

May 12, from 9:30am – 10:30am.

This is an opportunity to connect with Joe Crain and ask any questions you might have about the educational experience at GIS. You’ll also have an opportunity to enjoy some coffee, snacks, and fellowship with other GIS parents in the 2nd-floor Loft (A220), located in the Admin building. Please RSVP for May 12 by clicking this link.

Based on the recent directive of the Thai Minister of Education (ISAT 017/2020: France and Germany are now Added to the MOPH List of COVID-19 High Risk Countries), anyone (including students & staff) who has visited:

  • South Korea
  • Singapore
  • Italy
  • Iran
  • Germany
  • France

must self-quarantine at home for 14 days. This does apply to layovers or people in close contact with travelers. Please notify nurse@gisthailand.org and the relevant attendance/supervising personnel if this applies to you or your student.

AirLine reusable face masks are now available for purchase in the uniform shop. 50 baht/mask.

Health Contract with Chiang Mai Ram Hospital | nurse@gisthailand.org
As of February 1st, GIS has agreed on a contract to offer a 20% discounted rate to GIS staff, students, and families. To apply for the discount, show a GIS student or staff ID to the hospital cashier. GIS family members should show their ID/passport in addition to a GIS ID. Exceptions apply, contact Health Services for details and/or questions.



CMCIS Art Project | kmccall@gisthailand.org
The GIS community is invited to the inaugural Chiang Mai Circle of International Schools (CMCIS) Art Project (See Poster Here). The exhibition will be open Wednesday, March 4th through the 6th showcasing nine international schools with 200 plus pieces of art. Come and have a look, and support your GIS artists. The exhibition is taking place at the Dream Space Gallery(map).

  • Day A – Grades 7 & 8 will be discussing academic planning for the 2020-21 school year and all other grades will be discussing resilience. (Resilience is the ability to bounce back from adversity and is found to be a massive predictor of student success.)
  • Day D – Grade 8 will be discussing resilience while grades 9 & 10 are doing a wellness check-in. Grades 11 & 12 are connecting as a group after a couple of weeks on academic planning and a special topic.

Written by George Bernard Shaw, Pygmalion is the script that inspired the musical “My Fair Lady.” It is a theater classic you don’t want to miss!
