We will be hosting a virtual Coffee with the Deputy Superintendent. During this season of Continuous Learning, we want to provide a space for parents to connect with Joe Crain and ask any questions they might have and/or provide any feedback about the Continuous Learning experience.
We will do this once every week for this season of Continuous Learning and will alternate between Secondary and Elementary parents. We will start with Secondary next week and then meet with Elementary the week after.

Every Friday, during Continuous Learning, you will receive a form via email to record your child’s attendance during the week. You should receive it before 9:00 a.m. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep accurate records of your child’s attendance.

Thank you, GIS elementary families, for your continued support during these times of uncertainty. We feel as if Material Pick-Up day was a success. For those of you that were able to attend, we hope you enjoyed meeting the teachers and seeing classrooms, we are so thankful this was able to be done in person.

Due to this year beginning with Continuous Learning off campus, you may request a schedule correction for the first eight school days of the semester only by using this online Schedule Correction Form. Wednesday is the last day to request changes. You will be notified by email within three school days of your request that the process has been completed. Email requests will not be considered.
If you make a schedule correction request between August 16-25, you will still be accountable for completing the first week’s Continuous Learning Weekly Checklist; it is your responsibility to request the Weekly Checklist from the teacher of the new class you have added.

Attendance will be taken by teachers in required live instruction times and Advisory. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to report an absence during CL and on campus classes. Normal attendance maximums of 15 points per semester apply, see PSMO Handbook for more info on attendance.

Calling all Secondary (7th-12th) Parents! The Yearbook needs you! The Secondary yearbook staff would like a picture of you and the workspace you are utilizing while we are doing Continuous Learning. Don’t be afraid to make it fun! Have a pet that is keeping you on track while you work? Snap a picture! Have a ridiculous amount of books open on your desk? Snap a picture! Having to use an unconventional chair or desk? Snap a picture! The more photos the yearbook staff can collect, the better our yearbook will be! Teachers will have weekly checklists posted in their Google Classrooms by 9am this morning. The first required live event is Advisory Groups @ 11am. Live session classes are Monday to Thursday afternoons. Attendance will be taken in Advisory and all live session classes.
PSMO Handbook & Signed Agreements | firstname.lastname@example.org
Friday, at Material Pickup, all students were given the 2021-22 PMSO Handbook Agreement Form. We encourage all students and parents to read this important document and pay special attention to changes made which are in BLUE. The paper Agreement Form should be completed by both parents and students, including the parent witnessing the student sign, and returned at EITHER the next material pick up day OR the first day of on campus classes. Fitness Facility Update- The construction of the new fitness facility located right next to the outdoor basketball court is almost complete. Next week we will move all of the exercise equipment from the secondary fitness room to the new fitness facility. We expect it to be open to the staff during the first week of September. After online instruction has ended, the students will be able to use the new facility. This new facility will allow for two more classrooms for Secondary instruction.
