Word of the Week

Fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and discipline.

– Proverbs 1:7

Weekly Roar is the new Grace In Touch! This email publication is about Grace and for Grace students, parents, and staff. Though this is typically a weekly update, we will be sending out news twice a week during this season of transition and adjustment to our new campus.

We are committed to providing timely, accurate information. If you notice any error or lack of clarity, please send us feedback. If you’re getting more than one Weekly Roar to the same inbox (and would like to stop this occurrence), please send us a note here.

GENERAL

Tuition Due – Credit Cards Now Accepted

The finance office would like to remind families that tuition payments were due on August 15. If payments are not received by Monday, August 26, interest will be assessed on any past-due balances. Please note that the credit card machine is now operational for those families who wish to pay with this option (a 3% convenience fee will be added). Thank you for helping the school by paying your tuition invoices on time.

2019-2020 Media Permission Form

As we’re getting ready for the school year to begin, we are working on updating links and forms. One of those forms is the “No Media List.” If you’re new to Grace, the “No Media List” is a list of students who’s families have opted out saying the school does NOT have permission to use their student’s photos on social media, pamphlets, website, etc. Whether you’re opting in or opting out, please take 2 minutes to fill out this form before September 6th, 2019, Media Form. Thank you.

Bring Student Schedules to Open House

In order to make the most of the Open House on Friday (Aug. 30), it is suggested that students/parents bring a copy or digital version of each student’s schedule.

Syllabi from Teachers

Secondary teachers will be sending out their class syllabus to parents and students. Please watch for these in your email inbox. We recommend getting school supplies before Sept. 2 to lessen the back to school stress.

Attention all AP Students & Parents!

Beginning in the 2019-20 school year, the AP® Program is introducing new resources and processes designed to help students earn college credit and placement. To get ready for the coming school year, all AP students need to sign up for an online College Board account. All College Board programs are connected through one account, so if your student created one for the PSAT/NMSQT®, or SAT®, they’re all set. They’ll just need to have their username and password available and with them on Sept. 2. Learn more at parents.collegeboard.org. – Academic Counseling Team, counselor@gisthailand.org

Student Schedule Changes & Add/Drop Deadline

All Secondary students are encouraged to login to RenWeb/FACTS and view their schedule. FYI: any study halls will be added to schedules later next week. All requested changes need to be sent to scheduling@gisthailand.org by Friday, Sept 6 which is the add/drop deadline for the 2019-20 school year. – Scheduling Team, scheduling@gisthailand.org
