Ordering Photos from U Smile Kids | communications@gisthailand.org
Photo proofs of your child(ren) from U Smile Kids were handed out with an envelope last week. Group and family photos are also included. Please check inside the envelope for photo proofs of your child(dren)’s class photos along with the catalog.
Below are the ordering methods:
- U Smile Kids will be accepting orders at the reception area on 29-30 September 2022 (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM). Write your order on the back of the envelope (order form) and turn it in along with your payment to U Smile Kids on the days above. Payment can be made by cash/bank transfer/QR code.
- Or take a picture of the back of the envelope (order form) and order online via LINE: @usmiledee.
Payment details are listed on the back of the envelope. If you have any questions, please contact U Smile Kids directly.

Please be reminded if you signed up for this month’s vaccination clinic, it will be Tuesday, 27 September in the Health Office from 3:15-4pm. Elementary students will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
ELEMENTARY
Tiger Pride Dress-Up Day | elementary.office@gisthailand.org
Elementary will be having a Tiger Pride Dress-up Day on Wednesday, September 28 to show our school spirit. The theme will be SUPERHEROES! On that day students are encouraged to dress up as a superhero. If your child chooses not to participate in the Tiger Pride theme, they should come to school in their normal Grace uniform.

- Want to surprise your child with a sugary treat and note delivered during school? Parents/guardians, please use this link to order Candygrams!
- We will have the form open for parents to access from the morning of September 26 till 3:30 pm on Friday, September 30.
- Student Council representatives may contact you to clarify a name or specific details for the Candygrams, so the more details you provide in the Google Form, the better.
- A big thank you to parents for their support and we hope that we continue to partner on various Student Council events.
- Note: Student Council will only deliver Candygrams on the GIS campus to Secondary students and staff.

Equipping Night for Grade 12 Parents | secondary.office@gisthailand.org
- Thursday, October 6 from 6:30 – 8 PM at GIS
- Your graduating senior has so many options for post-high school and a very busy year ahead of him/her. Our Academic Counselors have met with them two times so far this school year to help motivate and de-stress them about the process.
- We would like to give you the opportunity to hear what we have told them and to field your questions about post-high school options, college applications, and financial aid (with Mr. Tim Hewitt).
- There will be English and Korean sessions in separate rooms.

- Friday, October 7 from 8 AM until 4:30 PM
- Every year GIS administration schedules one day without Secondary classes during the first quarter to allow parents the opportunity to meet with teachers for a 10 minute time slot. This is not mandatory; however, if you would like to meet with your child’s teacher(s), this time is for that purpose.
- For any Korean parents who have questions, please email: hjeong@gisthailand.org
- IMPORTANT: If you need a Korean translator during your parent-teacher conferences, please let Hyunjoo Jeong know as soon as possible.
This year we will use the same online system as we have in the past which has a lot of benefits:
- It allows for canceling / reschedule before the deadline
- You can print / email your conference schedule
- It prevents double booking

Worship Night #2, Wed., Sept. 28, 6:15-8:30pm — Come Home: any G7-12 student (including from other schools/homeschool networks) is welcome to attend in our Cafeteria!)
**PARENTS: Please note! Students are not allowed to stay on campus after school to wait for the Worship Night. They must be off campus by 4pm. Only students with service responsibilities are allowed to stay (band, prayer team, Core Team).

The Blessing Directive
Students are given the platform to minister to the children of Hope House Orphanage. These children who have known a life of loss can now experience the love of Christ through the presence and consistency of our student leaders. During our visits to Hope House, the children participate in singing, English instruction, sports, and crafts. This is a wonderful opportunity to pour out a heart of service into the lives of those in need.
Our informational meeting will be held over lunch on Tuesday, September 27th at 11:45am in classroom S164. If you have interest in joining the club, please be sure to attend.
Night Bazaar Evangelism
In response to the work that Christ has done in our own lives, we want to invite others into knowing Jesus as their personal Savior. Night Bazaar Evangelism prepares students with the training and tools needed to begin having faith related conversations with those whom we meet during our visits to Night Bazaar. This is the perfect ministry for students who desire to learn how to share their faith with others and wish to become more comfortable with the process of doing so.
