Parents, Staff, and Students in grades 7+ are cordially invited to Understanding Third Culture Kids: A Community Equipping Event. Tanya Crossman from TCK will be sharing research-based best preventive practices for TCKs. Snacks will be served, and childcare will be provided for students grades K-6. RSVP via the QR code below.

Songthaew Family Parents, we need your partnership to keep our drop-off and pick routine safe and orderly. There have recently been a few instances of students running and chasing each other in the songtaew sidewalk area while waiting for their songtaews immediately after school. In addition, when the songtaew leader tells the students to “Go, Go, Go,” some students continue to talk, and they are not getting into their songtaews, which delays the students’ departure. We are requesting that you remind your children to respect other students and the songtaews drivers, ensuring that all students can get home safely and on time.

March is Reading Month at GIS, a month in which we celebrate reading all types of books. Our theme this year is “Books ARRR a Treasure” and we have some fun activities planned to encourage reading throughout the month.

March 6th-7th Reading challenges continue
March 13th-16th Book Celebration during Library classes & Elementary Book Swap (*Book Swap occurs on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday during morning recesses)

- The Student Council will be hosting a Formal Dance for students in grades 9-12.
- This dance will be open for GIS High School students (including HDE).
- GIS Dress Code applies under Special Events, Non-Uniform Days in the PSMO for all attendees.
- Ticket Sales will take place on March 20-24 during lunch.

Academic Plan Meetings: Grade 9 and 8 | counselor@gisthailand.org
- In February and March, students in grades 9 and 8 will be handed a Pass to Class notifying them when they have been scheduled to visit with their academic counselor about post-high school goals, future academic plans, and classes that can be taken next school year to meet these goals and to ensure graduation from GIS.
- Students will walk away with a proposed schedule of classes recorded on their Academic Plan documents.
