The school’s 2023 desktop calendar is out! Each staff and family at Grace will receive one free calendar on December 13, 2022. Extra calendars are available to order for 100 Baht on a first come first serve basis. If you wish to order more calendars, please place your order in this form. There have been reported cases of student sickness with respiratory symptoms at school. To help prevent the spread of disease, please keep sick children at home and follow: GIS Attendance Policy Related to Illness.

If you have Covid or flu-like symptoms, please stay home until symptoms have improved and you are fever free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medications.

- If you test positive with no symptoms, please wear a mask around others while monitoring symptoms
- Masks should also be worn while recovering from illness if mild symptoms persist for the protection of others.

When students return to school after being out sick, please have them report to the nurses for assessment before returning to class.

ELEMENTARY

Tiger Pride Dress-Up Day | elementary.office@gisthailand.org

Elementary will be having a Tiger Pride Dress-up Day on Wednesday, November 30, to show our school spirit. The theme will be MISMATCHED DAY! On that day students are encouraged to dress mismatched. If your child chooses not to participate in the Tiger Pride theme, they should come to school in their normal Grace uniform.

December Festive Wear | elementary.office@gisthailand.org

During the month of December, elementary students will be allowed (and are encouraged to) come to school wearing Christmas hats, glasses, headbands, and socks. Normal school uniforms will be required with these Christmas accessories. We will have a Christmas dress-up day later in the month (date to be determined). Join us in celebrating the Christmas season!

SPIRITUAL LIFE

Christmas Fireside Worship Night – Nov. 30, 6:15-8:00pm (lawn next to the Cafeteria–note earlier ending time!)

Join G7-12 students from GIS and around Chiang Mai to begin celebrating the season of Advent around a crackling fire with carols, testimonies and hot chocolate as we prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of Jesus this year.

Advent Podcast Series –

Our Chapel Core Team students have reached out to both friends and family asking them to share how they have experienced God’s faithfulness towards them through the promises found in Scripture. Their answers have been recorded for our annual Advent Podcast, starting Nov. 27 through Dec. 18 as a means of preparing our hearts to celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day. The podcast will be available through our Grace International School Podcast channel (Apple podcast or anchor.fm).

The Blessing Directive Christmas Party – Friday, Dec. 9th

For this particular visit to Hope House, Grace students will celebrate Christmas with the children residing at the school. We will enjoy a time of games, food, and gift-giving to share the love of Christ with one another.

Night Bazaar Evangelism – Saturday, Dec. 10th

This visit to Night Bazaar will be a chance for students to come alongside the staff members of Grace as they conversate with the tourists at the market and practice having faith-centered conversations. Students who are interested in practicing their ability to share their faith with others are invited to come and join us.

Jingle Jangle Jamboree – end of year Christmas chapel celebration!
