As an international school in Thailand, we want to celebrate how the different cultures in our student and staff population have formed our school culture. This year we will be celebrating International Day on Thursday, February 27th.
Students and staff will be encouraged to come to school in their country’s traditional dress or to wear the colors that are best associated with their country.During lunch, we will be serving Pad Thai and hot dogs, to represent Thai and American cuisine. For students, there will also be four tables offering a sample of different cuisines from around the world – Korean, Mexican, German, and Middle Eastern. Students will only be able to pick one booth to get a sample from, so they should choose wisely

Community Conversation with the Superintendent on Feb 25, 2020 | gis-execasst@gisthailand.org
We enjoyed connecting with parents during our first conversation on October 3, 2019. This upcoming round (and last for this academic year) will offer yet another opportunity for the superintendent to give you an update on the new campus, address school-wide topics, and answer questions from parents. You’ll also have an opportunity to enjoy some snacks and fellowship with other GIS parents.

Elementary Subs Needed | mkennedy@gisthailand.org
Elementary is in need of more substitutes for our teachers and teacher aides. Don’t worry – you don’t need to be a qualified teacher to sub. When our teachers are absent they leave very comprehensive instructions for subs to follow. If you don’t feel comfortable teaching, how about subbing for one of our teacher aides, they assist in the classroom and on the playground. Subbing is a great way to get more volunteer hours. Contact Michelle Kennedy if you are interested in helping in this way. Feel free to specify what days you are available and if you’d prefer to only sub for teacher aides.
