GIS uses a school information system called RenWeb which is used by many Christian and secular schools worldwide (over 4,000 at last count). It contains all our student, family, and staff information, including all academic information for students. Teachers record grades and attendance, administrators prepare report cards and transcripts, the Health Office maintains all student health records, and the Finance Office maintains all family financial information–and other features as well.
Families are able to access much of this information through what we call GIS FamilyWeb, which is a website that differs from the parent GIS website but is accessible through it. For families new to Grace we recommend you go to this link after your student(s) have been officially accepted as students. At that time, you normally will be able to register and login to FamilyWeb. If you encounter problems, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will troubleshoot the problem.
For returning or existing families, you can use the same login credentials that you have in the past. If you are unable to login because your password has expired or you have forgotten the password or username, you can reset one or both by clicking on the Forgot Username/Password link on that screen and an automated email will be sent to the email address we have on file for you. You must type in a matching email address or the system will not be able to identify you.
Once you are logged into GIS FamilyWeb, you can view directories of students, staff, and families; most student data including grades, attendance, report cards, medical, etc; and family information including current family billing invoice. You can also update phone numbers and email addresses and directions to block some or all of your demographic information from the directories.
If you encounter any difficulties or have questions about FamilyWeb, please email us at email@example.com.
